At the moment, someone who has the highest care needs can risk losing all they have to meet the cost of their care. These reforms will mean that, for the first time ever, everyone will be protected from the risk of catastrophic care costs. The proposals are currently out for consultation and can be found at:</p><p> </p><p><a href="http://www.careact2016.dh.gov.uk/" target="_blank">www.careact2016.dh.gov.uk</a></p><p> </p><p>The War Pensions Scheme, which provides no fault compensation for injury caused by Service before April 2005, includes certain allowances that were designed to pay for ongoing care costs and that is why it is has been taken into account under the social care charging rules. The Armed Forces Compensation Scheme, which provides no fault compensation for injury caused by Service after April 2005, operates differently. All existing contracts for stereotactic radiosurgery and stereotactic radiotherapy services, including that with University Hospital Bristol, were transferred to NHS England on 1 April 2013. NHS England has continued to commission against these contracts, during the review of stereotactic radiosurgery and radiotherapy.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The future provision of stereotactic radiosurgery services in NHS England will be determined by the procurement exercise that will follow on from the consultation exercise that has recently ended. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 09/03/2015 answer text <p>This is a historic partnership between local organisations in Greater Manchester, with general practitioners as clinical leaders working with elected leaders to improve services for people living in the area.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The National Health Service bodies involved, including NHS England and the relevant clinical commissioning groups (CCGs), will remain accountable for the exercise of their functions, including the commissioning of specialised services.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>During 2015/16 funding arrangements will not change. However from April 2016, CCGs, local authorities and NHS England intend to pool even greater resources to allow integrated, local decision-making.
