	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 06/02/2018 answer text <p>The North Yorkshire and York Health Improvement Plan includes halting the decline in cervical screening coverage by delivering additional training to general practice staff; working with the clinical commissioning group engagement agents and plans to enlist volunteer cancer champions to attend community events and work with local businesses to promote cervical screening.</p><p> </p><p>Public Health England (PHE), the Department and NHS England continue to work together to understand and redress the falling participation in the National Health Service cervical screening programme. A range of work is being undertaken by PHE to understand the reasons for the decline in uptake and to support the NHS and local authorities (LAs) to address them. However, the Government is working in collaboration with the sector to realise the vision of the strategy to ensure the United Kingdom remains a top-tier global hub for clinical research and medical innovation, and ensure that the benefits of these innovations will be felt by UK patients. For example, the Government is investing up to £210 million in an early diagnostics challenge that will help patients benefit from earlier, more accurate diagnosis and more effective treatments. This has included a structured engagement process with partners in NHS England and local government, as well as interested stakeholders, service users and charities on proposed changes to the National Framework. The CHC Alliance were included in this engagement process and raised this particular issue.</p><p> </p><p>The update to the National Framework is intended to provide greater clarity for clinical commissioning groups and local authorities on a number of elements of the CHC process. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 07/02/2018 answer text <p>NHS England publishes weekly winter situational reports showing the number of beds available as well as the number and proportion of those that are occupied. This is published at both a national and a trust level. The current reporting period for which data is available is 20 November 2017 to 28 January 2018. Over this period, at Southport and Ormskirk NHS Trust, there was an average of 397 general and acute beds open per day. Of these, 376 (94.7%) were occupied.</p><p> </p><p>Bed availability and occupancy is managed at a local level. Our world-leading plan focuses on actions that are likely to have the biggest impact on reducing obesity in children and young people. Strict new rules came into effect in July 2017 banning the advertising of HFSS food or drink products in children’s media. These restrictions apply across all non-broadcast media including in print, cinema, online and in social media.</p><p> </p><p>In August 2017 we announced £5 million investment in a policy research unit on childhood obesity to provide a robust evidence, evaluation and research capability including looking at the impact of marketing on childhood obesity. We will use this, alongside other reports and data published on progress in delivering our world-leading childhood obesity plan, to determine whether sufficient progress has been made and whether alternative levers need to be considered.</p><p> </p><p>My Rt. hon.
