It is for the NHS body receiving the complaint to ensure the complaint is handled effectively at a local level. Local authorities have been mandated to commission comprehensive open access sexual health services and are best placed to understand and meet the public health needs of their local communities.</p><p>Data published by Public Health England show that more people are accessing sexual health services, with attendances increasing by 7% between 2017 and 2018. This continues the trend of increases in attendances seen over the past five years. To help manage the overall increase in demand, online services are increasingly being commissioning to manage lower risk and asymptomatic patients. The Government is currently considering the report’s recommendations and will publish a formal response shortly. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/10/2019 answer text <p>NHS England, NHS Improvement and Public Health England are working with key regional and local stakeholders, for example, Directors of Quality Clinical Commissioning Groups and local authorities, to implement actions from the measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) Elimination Strategy to increase take-up of the MMR vaccine in London.</p><p>Examples of recent actions include:</p><p>- Implementing the catch-up vaccination programme for 10 and 11-year olds through general practices;</p><p>- An MMR campaign targeted at 18-25-year olds (including ‘pop up’ clinics in 16 universities across London in October);</p><p>- Notifications from Child Health Information Services to help general practices identify children with due and overdue vaccinations; and</p><p>- Initiatives led by local teams to address inequalities in vaccine uptake (e.g. vaccine clinics for the Charedi community in Hackney).</p><p>In addition, over the next year, the MMR will be offered in all schools, and there will be increased access to vaccination appointments such as vaccine clinics on Friday evenings.</p><p> </p><p> </p> answering member constituency Bury St Edmunds answering member printed Jo Churchill question first answered 22/10/2019 16:49:10 answering member 4380 label Biography information for Jo Churchill

	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/10/2019 answer text <p>Patients have the right, set out in the NHS Constitution, to make a complaint about any aspect of National Health Service care, treatment or services and to have that complaint properly investigated, dealt with efficiently and to know the outcome of any complaint investigation.</p><p> </p><p>The NHS complaints procedure, including the process for investigating and responding to a complaint is set out in secondary legislation, primarily the Local Authority Social Services and National Health Service Complaints (England) Regulations 2009.</p><p> </p><p>Anyone wishing to make a complaint can do so either to the service provider or to the commissioner. Our plans should ensure the supply of medicines and medical products, including medical radioisotopes, when we leave the EU on 31 October.</p><p>The Department, in consultation with the devolved administrations, has been working with trade bodies, product suppliers, and the health and care system in England to make detailed plans that should ensure continuation of the supply of medical products, including medical radioisotopes, to the whole of the UK and its Crown Dependencies.</p><p> </p><p>On 26 June, we wrote to suppliers of medicines to the UK from or via the EU or European Economic Area setting out our continuing multi-layered approach to support continuity of supply of medicines and medical products from 31 October.</p><p>Further details can be found at the following link:</p><p><a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/news/medicines-and-medical-products-supply-government-updates-no-deal-brexit-plans" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/news/medicines-and-medical-products-supply-government-updates-no-deal-brexit-plans</a></p><p>As with our plans leading up to 29 March, for those medicines that cannot be stockpiled because, for example, they have short shelf-lives, such as medical radioisotopes for use in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, we have asked suppliers to make alternative arrangements, using airfreight, which some suppliers are already doing. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 30/09/2019 answer text <p>The Department fully understands that maintaining access to hormone replacement therapy (HRT) medications is vitally important to many people in this country.</p><p>We are aware of ongoing supply issues with some HRT transdermal patches due to manufacturing issues. We have been working closely with all suppliers of HRT transdermal patches to maintain overall supply to patients. Although some HRT transdermal patches are affected by supply issues, supplies of other alternative HRT transdermal patches have remained available.</p><p>We continue to work with all stakeholders to ensure relevant information about the HRT products affected by supply issues and the products that remain available is shared across the National Health Service on a regular basis. We have already issued comprehensive communications to the NHS with regard to availability and signposted clinicians to sources they can use to support local decision making around switching patients who are affected by the current supply disruptions.</p><p> </p><p>We will continue to work directly with all suppliers of the affected and alternative products to resolve the supply issues as soon as possible and ensure supplies of HRT products including transdermal patches continue to remain available.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>There is no evidence that the small number of current HRT supply issues we are managing are related to EU exit or increasing because of this.</p><p><strong> </strong></p> answering member constituency Charnwood answering member printed Edward Argar question first answered 30/09/2019 14:00:36 answering member 4362 label Biography information for Edward Argar
