We continue to work with our regional and international partners to provide support to speed up the clearance process for ships and improve commercial access. British Officials will hold discussions with UNVIM in Djibouti and Amman in the coming weeks to discuss ways of strengthening the mechanism. We also aim to increase UNVIM's capacity through the deployment of additional inspectors to UNVIM HQ in Djibouti and to ports around the region. This could increase UNVIM inspection capacity fivefold.
more like this

On 6 February, the EU released a local statement expressing strong concerns about demolition by the Israeli authorities of parts of the school of the Bedouin community of Abu Nuwar. Demolitions and evictions of Palestinians from their homes cause unnecessary suffering to ordinary Palestinians; call into question Israel’s commitment to a viable two-state solution; and, in all but the most exceptional cases, are contrary to International Humanitarian Law.
more like this
