answer text <p>Vessels engaged in Operation Sophia, the EU Naval Force Mediterranean, and Operation Triton, the EU's border control and surveillance mission, are not currently authorised to operate in Libyan territorial waters, which, though disputed, are considered, for the purposes of EU operations, to extend 12 nautical miles from the coastline. The UK is a strong supporter of the non-proliferation of nuclear weapons and peaceful uses of nuclear technology which are central to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT). Our role in the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action addressing the Iranian nuclear programme, in the UN Security Council to take action in response to North Korea's nuclear and missile programme, and more broadly our support for the International Atomic Energy Agency are all important contributions to promoting the effectiveness of the NPT.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The next visit of Chagossians to Diego Garcia and the Outer Islands will take place from 30 October to 8 November. A programme of events on the island is being arranged. Those visitors who were born in either Peros Banhos or Salomon will spend two days visiting those groups of islands before rejoining the other group members on Diego Garcia.</p><p>We expect a further two visits to take place before April 2018. Each visit will accommodate twenty Chagossians, who will arrive into Diego Garcia by air and will return by the same route at the end of the visit.</p> more like this
