star this property answer text <p>The British Government, alongside other states, encouraged the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) to look into allegations of chemical weapons use made by Amnesty International in October 2016. The OPCW asked the Government of Sudan, as a State Party to the Chemical Weapons Convention, to share all relevant information and offered its assistance in any investigation. The Sudanese authorities reported to the OPCW that their national investigations came across no evidence of chemical weapon use in the Jebel Marra region. The United Nations has reported that the African Union-United Nations Mission in Darfur (UNAMID) had not come across any evidence of chemical weapons use in Jebel Marra.</p> more like this
