He held bilateral meetings with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Foreign Minister Balakrishnan. The main focus was on post-Brexit trade, regional security, the rules-based international system and long-term UK/Singapore cooperation. He also raised judicial corporal punishment. The Singapore government is fully aware of our position on corporal punishment and the death penalty. At the 40th session, specific priorities will include the human rights situation in Syria, Sri Lanka, Burma, Iran, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Libya and South Sudan, and thematic priorities of media freedom, human rights defenders, and freedom of religion or belief. The Foreign and Commonwealth Office hosted an in-house panel event including LGBT Rights activists and lawyers that discussed tackling discrimination, advocating for decriminalisation and the issues facing LGBT equality globally. In the case of the 2019 G20 Summit, there are currently no plans for formal discussions on preventing homophobia, biphobia and transphobia. However, the British Government continues to work through our embassies, High Commissions and through international organisations and multilateral fora to promote tolerance and non-discrimination and to address discriminatory laws against LGBT people. We urge the Government of Cameroon to remain engaged in this process and help to bring peace and stability to the North-West and South-West (Anglophone) regions. The British High Commissioner to Cameroon regularly engages in high-level discussions with the Government of Cameroon on the Anglophone crisis, including the mediation process led by the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 19/05/2020 answer text <p>In February, I raised concerns about the situation for prisoners in detention under trial in Pakistan, particularly for blasphemy cases including that of Junaid Hafeez, as well as the UK's opposition to the death penalty with Dr Shireen Mazari, Pakistan's Minister for Human Rights. The British High Commissioner to Pakistan, Christian Turner CMG, raised the UK Government's concerns about the death penalty and misuse of blasphemy legislation with Dr Mazari in January.</p><p>Since then we have discussed the impact of COVID-19 in Pakistan regularly with senior stakeholders. The UK has repeatedly called for their release and remains committed to supporting the Nigerian Government in their efforts to achieve this. The Prime Minister discussed UK support to fighting terrorism in Nigeria with President Buhari at the UK Africa Investment Summit in January. The choice of Special Envoy is a decision for the Prime Minister. I was honoured to be appointed in 2018 as the UK's first ever envoy, an appointment reconfirmed by the current Prime Minister in July 2019.
