	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/11/2018 answer text <p>​As the Prime Minister has said, Asia Bibi's acquittal is very welcome news to her family and those who have campaigned in Pakistan and around the world for her release.</p><p>We regularly raise our concerns about Freedom of Religion or Belief (FoRB) and the protection of minority religious communities, with the Pakistani Government at a senior level. The Minister for Asia and the Pacific raised discrimination against religious minorities with the Ministry of Human Rights during his visit to Pakistan in November 2017. I discussed the treatment of minority religious communities with Pakistan's Human Rights Minister, Dr Shireen Mazari, in September 2018.</p><p>We will continue to press the new Government of Pakistan to adhere to its international obligations and uphold the rule of law.</p><p>Due to the sensitivity of Asia Bibi's situation it would be inappropriate to comment in detail. However, human rights violations, including against freedom of religion or belief, remain a cause for concern. The Minister for Europe and the Americas, Sir Alan Duncan, raised these concerns most recently during his meeting with the Cuban Foreign Minister in November. On 10 October, the Minister for Europe and the Americas raised our concerns regarding the deteriorating socioeconomic situation in Venezuela with the Foreign Minister, Jorge Arreaza. We also work with like-minded Governments to raise our concerns publicly through international bodies. It is not possible to provide a comprehensive list of named champions. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 25/01/2018 answer text <p>In my regular discussions with Commonwealth member states and other nations, I continue to raise the importance of addressing sexual violence in conflict, and I encourage all those countries who are yet to endorse the UN Declaration of Commitment to end sexual violence in conflict, to do so.</p><p>The agenda for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting is developed in partnership with all member states and the Commonwealth Secretariat, and we expect it to reflect the diverse interests of the Commonwealth. The Commonwealth Secretariat and the relevant Commonwealth organisation are responsible for developing the agendas for the four official Forums. Although there is unlikely to be a specific agenda item on the Prevention of Sexual Violence in Conflict, we anticipate that discussions will cover various gender issues, given member states’ unanimous commitment to the 2030 Sustainable Development Goal agenda, including Sustainable Development Goal 5 on ending all forms of discrimination against all women and girls everywhere, which includes eliminating all forms of violence and exploitation. We welcomed the decriminalisation of consensual same-sex activity in both Belize and Seychelles in 2016. However, we recognise that more needs to be done to address discrimination, and to promote diversity and tolerance.</p><p>In both Belize and Seychelles, the British High Commissions are in close contact with the LGBT community and continue to provide them with advice and support. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 06/02/2018 answer text <p>The Assad regime is responsible for the vast majority of civilian deaths in Syria through the disproportionate and indiscriminate bombing of civilian areas, and according to the UN Commission of Inquiry, the deliberate targeting of civilian infrastructure, including medical facilities and schools. It has also sought to terrorise civilians through chemical weapons attacks, starvation sieges, and the torture and killing of tens of thousands of arbitrarily detained persons. We are particularly concerned about the recent escalation of violence in Idlib province, where the regime has launched a large-scale offensive displacing up to 200,000 civilians, and a number of airstrikes on civilian infrastructure, including hospitals, have been reported. We are also deeply concerned about the plight of the 400,000 people in Eastern Ghouta, which has been besieged by the regime since October 2013, and where civilians including children are dying from starvation and lack of medical care. There have also been reports of regime chlorine attacks in Eastern Ghouta in recent weeks. Due to the sensitivities of some of the material contained in those letters it would not be appropriate to disclose their contents in detail.
