The European Commission is seeking to ensure that the amendment is fully consistent with the requirements of the European Court of Justice ruling of December 2016 on the applicability of the EU/Morocco Association Agreement to Western Sahara. The Commission has consulted a wide spectrum of Western Saharan representatives, stake-holders, civil society, and other organisations. The EU Commission's report of its consultations is available online, https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/HTML/?uri=SWD:2018:346:FIN&from=FR. I therefore have no current plans to raise this issue with the Moroccan Ambassador. The UK's longstanding position is to support the efforts of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to achieve a just, lasting and mutually acceptable political solution to the situation in Western Sahara, which will provide for the self-determination of the people of Western Sahara in the context of arrangements consistent with the principles and purposes of the Charter of the United Nations.
more like this

This builds on the tough measures adopted in UNSCR 2375 in September. The Government plans to submit to the UN 1718 DPRK Sanctions Committee its implementation report for UNSCR 2397 within 90 days of the Resolution's adoption date of 22 December 2017. The UK, alongside like-minded partners, is actively lobbying for the urgent and comprehensive enforcement of UN sanctions by the international community.
more like this

They discussed how best to work together, as permanent members of the UN Security Council, in tackling global security issues such as North Korea. On the same day, the UN Security Council unanimously adopted UNSCR 2379 on the DPRK, showing once again that the international community remains united in its condemnation of DPRK's reckless and destabilising actions. Ensuring full implementation of UNSCR 2379, and other UN resolutions, is now the priority.
more like this
