The Department has a range of flexible working policies in place to avoid excess working hours and complies with the EU Working Time Directive.</p><p>If there are occasions when staff have to work extra hours, they may be able to claim overtime or time off in lieu for the additional hours worked. Working hours are managed locally with line managers and no central records are held of excess working hours that are not paid as overtime.</p><p> </p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>DExEU was set up as a time-limited department with a clear mandate to carry out a historic task: implement the democratic decision of the British people to leave the EU.</p><p>In keeping with this, the majority of our staff are employed on fixed-term contracts or are loaned from other Government departments, and many have been drawn from Civil Service talent streams.</p><p>Many of those who have left to date have moved on to other government departments because their loan or rotation ended. Only a small minority have actually left the Civil Service.</p><p>The Department for Exiting the European Union now has over 650 staff. The Department continues to recruit the brightest and the best from across the civil service, the wider public sector and the private sector, in a range of professions.</p><p> </p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The Department for Exiting the European Union does not have a bespoke IT system or dedicated mobile phone provision.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>The Department’s IT and mobile phone service is hosted by the Cabinet Office. Given national security concerns they feel it would be inappropriate to publicly supply a list of applications approved for use on mobile phones issued by the Cabinet Office. I can confirm that the Cabinet Office acts in full compliance with National Cyber Security guidance on the use of third party Apps.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><a href="https://www.ncsc.gov.uk/index/guidance" target="_blank">https://www.ncsc.gov.uk/index/guidance</a></p> more like this
