	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 05/11/2019 answer text <p>In the new Northern Ireland/Ireland Protocol, Northern Ireland will only be aligning with those EU rules on goods necessary to remove the need for regulatory checks at the land border. Goods and agricultural products entering Northern Ireland will need to be compliant with the rules of the regulatory zone. Northern Ireland will remain in the UK customs territory but will apply EU customs rules, which are well understood by businesses in Northern Ireland that already trade with the Rest of the World.</p><p>The Government has made clear commitments to ensure unfettered access for Northern Ireland businesses to the whole UK internal market. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 04/11/2019 answer text <p>The deal negotiated by the Government with the EU explicitly allows the UK to ensure unfettered market access for goods moving from Northern Ireland to Great Britain. The UK does not therefore intend to carry out checks on such movements of goods.</p><p>There will be a minimal administrative process which is designed to prevent, for example, trade in endangered species. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 23/10/2019 answer text <p>The Government is committed to the close involvement of the Welsh Government as we deliver an EU exit that works in the interests of the whole of the UK. While the UK Government negotiates on behalf of the United Kingdom, we have been clear from the start that the devolved administrations should be engaged throughout the negotiations process.</p><p>Following the successful agreement of a deal with the EU on 17 October, the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster spoke with Jeremy Miles AM, Counsel General and Brexit Minister in the Welsh Government, in detail.</p><p>The Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union spoke to Jeremy Miles, on 2 October to discuss the Prime Minister’s letter to the President of the European Commission regarding the UK Government’s proposals for a new protocol on Ireland/Northern Ireland.</p><p>Latest developments were also discussed at the Joint Ministerial Forum (EU Negotiations) on 10 October, where Lord Callanan, Minister of State for Exiting the European Union, attended to discuss the latest developments with the devolved administrations, including Jeremy Miles.</p><p> </p> answering member constituency Rochford and Southend East answering member printed James Duddridge question first answered 23/10/2019 16:07:50 answering member 1559 label Biography information for Sir James Duddridge
