	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 06/04/2018 answer text <p>The property rights of UK nationals that own property in an EU Member State and vice versa is not a matter that fell within the scope of the first stage of the negotiations with the EU.</p><p> </p><p>It is already the case that all Member States are bound by Article 1 of Protocol 1 to the European Convention on Human Rights which obliges them to respect property rights. This is why we have agreed with the EU that they will notify treaty partners that the UK is treated as a Member State for the purposes of its international agreements with third countries during the Implementation Period.
