star this property answer text <p>Ministers from the Department of Exiting the European Union have visited the North West of England on a number of occasions since the Referendum. The Government is committed to positive and productive engagement with businesses and local government in the North West, as well as all of the UK, and will continue to work closely with them to understand the potential impact and opportunities presented by the UK’s withdrawal from the EU.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>The Secretary of State also met the Combined Authority Mayors for Liverpool City Region and Greater Manchester in October 2017.</p><p> </p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The Secretary of State meets regularly with ministerial counterparts from other EU Member States and individuals in the EU institutions, including the European Commission. We have always said that we would be content to listen to any proposals from the European Commission, however associate citizenship is not currently in the scope of exit negotiations.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>EU treaty provisions make clear that only citizens of EU Member States are able to hold EU citizenship. Therefore, when the UK ceases to be a member of the European Union, British nationals will no longer hold EU citizenship, unless they hold dual nationality with another EU Member State.</p><p> </p> more like this
