The UK and the EU have now agreed the terms of an implementation period, during which EU rules and regulations will continue to apply as now. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/04/2018 answer text <p>The Department published its first gender pay gap report in December based on those staff on our payroll as at 31 March 2017. The report identified a mean pay gap in favour of men of 15.26%, and a median pay gap of 8.91% in favour of men.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>At the time of DExEU’s gender pay gap report, women being overrepresented in more junior grades and underrepresented in more senior grades was a significant contributory factor in reporting DExEU’s gender pay gap. This is an issue that we are committed to addressing both through our recruitment practices and the use of cross government talent management schemes.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>As a relatively new department, we had not paid any bonuses as at 31 March 2017. The department has now developed and implemented a reward and recognition policy so we will be able to report on this in future years. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/04/2018 answer text <p>The agreement we have reached with the EU on the terms of the implementation period will enable UK participation in EU bodies and agencies during this period where it is in the mutual interest of the UK and the EU. The exact nature of that participation will be a matter for further discussion.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>As a non-member state, we have been clear that the UK will no longer have the same role in the decision-making of the EU.
