To achieve this, in 2014 we introduced the Family Test, which aims to ensure that impacts on family relationships and functioning are recognised early on during the process of policy development and help inform the policy decisions made by Minsters. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 19/07/2016 answer text <p>As I said in my answer to PQ HL7316 on 5 April this year, air quality monitoring data collected in and around Heathrow Airport is presented on the Heathrow AirWatch website which is funded via a joint working partnership consisting of Heathrow Airport Ltd, London Boroughs of Hillingdon and Hounslow, Slough and Spelthorne Borough Councils and British Airways. It is managed by the consultant Ricardo Energy and Environment.</p><p> </p><p>Two local monitoring sites are included in the Government’s national monitoring network (the Automatic Urban and Rural Network). 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 01/08/2018 answer text <p>As the Minister responsible for this policy area, in late 2017 Dr Thérèse Coffey visited Norway to find out more about the deposit return scheme (DRS) in operation there. This includes polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plastic drinks containers within the scope of collection for recycling.</p><p> </p><p>Minister Coffey met representatives of Infinitum AS (the DRS operator and administrator) and TOMRA (a manufacturer of reverse vending machines which accept plastic bottles returned by consumers). The Minister also tested reverse vending machines in a supermarket.</p><p> </p><p>The Government has confirmed that it will introduce a DRS in England, subject to consultation later this year. The Groceries Code Adjudicator plays an important role in making sure that businesses who supply directly to large supermarkets are treated lawfully and fairly.</p><p> </p><p>Many farmers and producers do not supply supermarkets directly, and earlier this year the Government announced a package of measures to help farmers by improving transparency and integrity in the supply chain. These measures included:</p><p> </p><ul><li>A £10 million collaboration fund to support farmers to come together and strengthen their position in the supply chain. This fund will be launched later this year.</li><li>A commitment to explore with industry how the collection and dissemination of market data can be improved in the longer-term to drive greater supply chain transparency.</li><li>Launching consultations on mandatory written contracts in the dairy sector and on carcase classification for sheep. The latter is underway and closes on 23<sup>rd</sup> August.</li></ul><p> </p><p>We are also acting to tackle the late payment culture across all sectors. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 06/08/2018 answer text <p>In 2013, the UK and Welsh Governments jointly commissioned an independent study entitled ‘<em>Sky lanterns and helium balloons: an assessment of impacts on livestock and the environment’ </em>to identify and assess their impacts and risks primarily to livestock and the environment, but also their fire risk and the damage they do to crops. The report concluded that while the impact on livestock and the environment is low, there is however a potential fire safety risk. The Government regularly assesses the UK’s food security through its own channels, including through the UK Food Assessment.</p><p> </p><p>The UK Food Assessment is a comprehensive analysis of all aspects of food security. It draws on a wide range of indicators which are updated with varying frequency and which we monitor on an ongoing basis. We have commenced a review of the overall assessment which will be published in 2019<strong>.</strong></p><p> </p><p>The UK has a high degree of food security with access to a diverse range of sources of supply, including domestic production. This will continue to be the case after we leave the EU. Food supply is highly resilient with diversity and flexibility throughout the supply chains, and industry can respond quickly to ensure ongoing supply.</p><p>Leaving the EU provides us with a major opportunity to set up new frameworks for supporting our farmers to grow more, sell more and export more great British food. There is a delegated power within the Bill to allow the Secretary of State to extend the Bill to cover other ivory bearing species, such as the hippopotamus, through a regulation. The Government has committed to consulting on extending the ban as soon as possible.
