answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 08/11/2018 answer text <p>We published the Litter Strategy for England in April 2017, setting out our aim to clean up the country and deliver a substantial reduction in litter and littering within a generation.</p><p>We have launched the Litter Innovation Fund to support councils and communities in the development and evaluation of innovative approaches to tackling litter. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 07/11/2018 answer text <p>Earlier this year, the Department set out our proposals to reduce the emissions of harmful particulate matter from the domestic burning of solid fuels, the largest source in the UK. Our consultation received over 500 responses, and officials are currently analysing the responses. We will publish our response to this consultation by the end of the year.</p><p> </p><p>Our proposals relate solely to the burning of household coal and wet wood in domestic properties. We are not proposing any restrictions regarding smokeless coal. APHA does not hold this information for Bettws Hall Game Farm.</p><p> </p><p>APHA does not maintain year on year statistics for game farms. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 09/11/2018 answer text <p>The Government Buying Standards for Food and Catering Services (GBSF) covers the categories of food typically served in public sector establishments. The Standards require that all UK legislative standards of production are met which, for meat and meat products, includes traceability, authenticity and animal welfare. These standards also apply to farmed game animals.</p><p>A complimentary tool to the GBSF is the Balanced Scorecard, which helps to evaluate the value of contract bids for bid and services. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 07/11/2018 answer text <p>We have not received any representations on protecting the bittern under phase one of the 2016 Special Protection Area (SPA) Review.</p><p> </p><p>We have however received an SPA review phase two report from the Joint Nature Conservation Committee, which sets out potential options to address the insufficiencies identified in the phase one report. Officials are currently considering the implications of the report in liaison with Natural England, noting that work to refine these options will need to be prioritised in order to make best use of resources.</p><p> </p><p>For the bittern, the report highlights that there are SPA insufficiencies, which may be addressed by adding the species as a feature of other existing SPAs, where it is present in sufficient numbers. We have committed £495 million for local authorities to implement and mitigate their plans.</p><p> </p><p>In addition to the £88.9 million invested in new greener buses via the Green Bus Scheme, including £19.6 million for Manchester, and a further £41 million invested in low emission buses via the Low Emission Bus Scheme, we have committed an additional £48 million for the Ultra-Low Emission Bus Scheme. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 31/10/2018 answer text <p>In autumn 2017, the Voluntary and Economic Incentives working group held a call for evidence on measures to reduce littering of drinks containers and promote recycling. This included seeking evidence on the costs, benefits and impacts of deposit and reward and return schemes, and gave the food and beverage industry the opportunity to provide their views.</p><p> </p><p>Defra officials held a stakeholder workshop, including representatives from the food and beverage industry, in June this year to discuss early thinking on a deposit return scheme and seek their feedback.</p><p> </p><p>Defra Ministers and Officials continue to engage with stakeholders from the food and beverage industry on an individual basis to discuss issues related to introducing a deposit return scheme.</p><p> </p><p>The Government has confirmed that it will introduce a deposit return scheme in England, subject to consultation later this year.
