In the North Sea multi-annual plan (MAP), the target fishing mortality ranges and the conservation reference points aim to ensure stocks are fished at rates consistent with maximum sustainable yield. The success of the industry is crucial to driving growth across the country.</p><p> </p><p>We will continue to support the sector through raising the profile and reputation of British food and drink overseas through the Food is GREAT campaign. Defra and DIT are also opening new markets and supporting exports in priority markets such as China, USA and India. There are 60 farmers still to receive their payment, 58 of which are currently held for legal reasons (such as probate), and 2 still need to be processed. The Rural Payments Agency (RPA) continues to focus on the completion of those outstanding and dealing with any new queries on BPS 2015 claims raised by farmers.</p><p> </p><p>The RPA does not hold information on the average time taken to process a claim. At each meeting the Environment Agency have provided the latest information on their action against the clearance of the site and their enforcement action against the operator. The Environment Agency have also discussed and agreed how amenity complaints from the site would be dealt with.</del></p><p><del class="ministerial">Councillor Steve Waltho and Councillor Ali Shaukat have also attended these meetings. They have taken the information shared back to their local communities to keep them updated.</del></p><p> </p><p><ins class="ministerial">The Environment Agency has spoken with HM Revenue and Customs on this matter. The Environment Agency have provided them with details regarding the criminal investigation into the site.
