We do not anticipate requesting any further extension of the deadline.</p><p>As of 8 June the RPA has received 58,836 completed BPS claims, which is what would be expected at this stage of the claim window. answer text <p>Our focus remains on ensuring that the Basic Payment Scheme claimants are able to submit their claims by the deadline, indeed as of 8 June 2015 the RPA have received 58,836 completed claims, which is in line with the number of claims received in previous years.</p><p>In order to help farmers to be able to submit their claims by the deadline the Rural Payments Agency has 50 drop in centres open, 10 mobile support units in operation and a dedicated helpline. The deadline for claim submission is fixed by the regulation, although in recognition of the additional complexity the EU has already extended the deadline to the 15 June. Farmers and agents have received all the information and forms they need to submit claims. Support to farmers will still be available during the late claim period which runs to 10 July where applications can still be received but will incur a penalty.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>The Secretary of State has spoken with industry bodies and the Rural Payments Agency is now providing extra help for farmers to ensure that all farm businesses can submit their Basic Payment Scheme claims by the deadline.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>From Monday 23 March, farmers and their agents can use established forms and processes to complete their claims by the deadline. answer text <p>All farmers and landowners are able to register to use the Rural Payments service using either GOV.UK Verify or through the Rural Payments Agency helpline (0300 0200 301). As of 18 March 2015 72,070 had done so. This represents 84% of anticipated claimants. We are encouraging any farmers who have not yet registered to do so.</p><p> </p><p> </p> more like this
