star this property answer text <p>The Department announced a budget of £6 million in financial year 2019-20 to develop this programme of support for schools. Funding beyond 2019-20 is a matter for the forthcoming Spending Review.</p><p> </p><p>The Department has also published an impact assessment which provided an estimate of the impact of the new regulations on the school system. The assessment includes reference to the fact that many schools are already teaching a great deal of the content in the new statutory guidance. The Department will continue to work with subject experts to ensure schools are supported to improve their practice, focusing on an implementation guide, support for training needs, and materials. This will also include sharing effective practice so schools can learn lessons from each other.</p>
