	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 21/12/2017 answer text <p>On 14 December, Disney and the 21st Century Fox announced details of an agreement for the sale of 21st Century Fox to Disney. This includes its interests in two major UK Media companies Sky PLC and Endemol/Shine. 21st Century Fox currently remains as the bidder for Sky PLC and Disney and 21st Century Fox confirmed in their joint announcement that they want the 21st Century Fox bid for Sky - announced in December 2016 – to continue. The current Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) inquiry into the Fox/Sky merger will therefore continue.</p><p>The CMA are of course fully aware of the Disney bid and it is for them to consider how to account for this development in their inquiry. The CMA are due to publish their interim findings on the merger in mid-January and provide their final report by 6 March. The Active Lives Survey replaced the Active People Survey – using a different methodology to measure participation, but still focusing on England only - and was first published in January 2017. The attached table provided a detailed breakdown.</p><p> </p><p>Both the Active People Survey and Active Lives Survey collect and provide data on people aged 16+. Data on the number below the age of 16 has not been collected to date, though Sport England is currently developing an Active Lives Children Survey, which will include data for children aged 5-15. I think you would agree that is a breathtaking and commendable amount.</p><p> </p><p>This Government is fully committed to helping to build a compassionate country that works for everyone, and this Department will continue its work to make it as easy and compelling as possible to give to charitable causes. We are currently taking steps to help civil society organisations access the tools and training they need to harness the generosity of the public. The Foundation for Social Improvement launched our subsidised fundraising training programme on 6 July this year. The generous British public already donate so much to charitable causes - almost £10 billion in 2016 - but the feedback from the Roundtables showed that there are further opportunities to make it easier and more compelling to give.</p><p> </p><p>We heard that more needed to be done to support small charities and our subsidised fundraising training programme, launched by the Foundation for Social Improvement on 6 July 2017, delivers that support. This is a multi-year programme which provides expert advice on building the digital fundraising capabilities of small charities. From 6 July 2017 onwards, there will be more than 10,000 places available at face-to-face training sessions, intensive one-to-one advice sessions, skilled volunteering matches, and webinars. For SIBs, this includes working with DWP to support disengaged young people through the Youth Engagement Fund SIB and cooperation with their Work and Health Unit, the DCLG Rough Sleeping Fund and DfE's work to support care leavers. For mutuals, this includes working closely with the DfE on their Innovation Programme to include public service mutuals as a new model of delivering children's services, and with the libraries team in DCMS for potential mutuals in libraries and cultural services. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 14/07/2017 answer text <p>The Government is fully committed to eradicating the use of performance enhancing substances and methods in sport.</p><p> </p><p>UK Anti- Doping (UKAD) is our Arms Length Body with responsibility for tackling the use of performance-enhancing drugs. Through our ongoing dialogue with representatives from across the sector, we know that small charities can struggle to raise the resources they need.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>In recognition of this, the Office for Civil Society in England are providing a multi-year programme of fundraising training and support. In addition to face-to-face training, intensive one-to-one advice sessions and webinars, the programme includes skilled volunteer mentoring, connecting small charities with experienced fundraisers to provide longer term support. The training and support will be provided at little or no cost and the providers will also develop and share fundraising training resources and toolkits to support small charities who might not be able to attend training.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>Our vision is of a confident and capable sector, with the ability to raise funds from diverse sources.
