We engaged with the gambling industry to understand the potential impact on jobs, both as proposals were developed and following the announcement.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>William Hill has said that it will provide support to workers affected as part of its consultation process on shop closures.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>The government will engage with William Hill to establish the level of employee support that may be required. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 08/07/2019 answer text <p>The BBC is responsible for the cost and the administration of the over 75 licence fee concession from June 2020.</p><p> </p><p>The BBC is committed to working with older peoples groups, charities and voluntary organisations to design a bespoke system to support all those over 75 affected by its decision. As part of this system, the BBC says that its licensing arm, TV Licensing, will be publicising the link between the concession and pension credit. It also says it will be introducing an easy payment system to help those affected spread the cost of the licence fee.</p><p> </p><p>The Secretary of State has expressed his disappointment with the BBC decision to restrict the concession to the most narrowly defined review option. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 10/07/2019 answer text <p>The Government recognises the impact late payments can have on businesses, particularly small and medium sized enterprises.</p><p> </p><p>Blockchain technology is one solution of how this can be tackled.. For example, smart contracts can initiate payments based on digitally approved work or digitally tracked goods delivery. This enables businesses to be paid automatically, reducing the need for invoicing and preventing delays in payments. The technology ensures a high level of transparency for all parties involved, and helps prevent organisations from taking unilateral actions to alter original contracts.</p><p> </p><p>The Government is supporting the development of blockchain technology in the UK and officials in the Department for Digital Culture Media and Sport are exploring potential pilot projects with government departments. The Department for Business recently published the government response on the call for evidence to end late payments to small businesses. The ICO has reported a drop in complaints of cold calls from personal injury firms and pension providers since the new measures were introduced in September 2018 and January 2019 respectively. Details can be found on their website (https://ico.org.uk).</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Cold calling relating to claims management companies, including those that handle personal injury claims, and pensions are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and enforced by the ICO. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 01/07/2019 answer text <p>The first set of data from Sport England’s world-leading Active Lives: Children and Young People survey was released in December 2018. It shows that 33.6% of girls in years 7-8 and 27.7% of girls in years 9-11 do 30 minutes or more of physical activity per day. Activity is measured in daily levels, to align with the Chief Medical Officers’ guidance for children and young people.</p><p>Levels of activity for girls aged over 16 are captured by the Active Lives (adult) survey, which has a slightly different methodology and so cannot be directly compared. Both surveys are available on Sport England’s website.</p><p> </p><p>Government is committed to addressing the gender gap in physical activity levels for boys and girls, including the drop-off in engagement from primary to secondary school.
