answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/09/2021 answer text <p>Data adequacy is about ensuring the high standards of data protection under the UK GDPR are not undermined when personal data is transferred to a third country. UK data adequacy assessments consider the overall effect of a third country’s data protection laws, their implementation, enforcement, and supervision. Our assessments also take into account how data can be transferred from that country to other destinations.</p><p>Adequacy does not require identical laws and practices.
