<p>The UK is committed to maintaining maritime security in the Gulf region, and safeguarding freedom of navigation. To this end, the Royal Navy has been accompanying Red Ensign Group flagged merchant vessels through the Strait and the UK has also joined the International Maritime Security Construct.</p>
