star this property answer text <p>The Stadium Concession Agreement was agreed in March 2013 between the owners of the stadium, E20 Stadium LLP (a joint venture between the London Legacy Development Corporation and the London Borough of Newham) and West Ham United Football Club. The Government was not a party to this agreement. My department was informed of some elements of the (then) draft agreement in late January and early February 2013. My department saw the full content of the Stadium Concession Agreement when it was made public in redacted form on 9 October 2015 and in full on 14 April 2016.</p><p> </p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Government is committed to getting more young people from all backgrounds engaging in sport and physical activity, including team sports. Last year government published a new strategy, 'Sporting Future', which sets out a number of important actions that will ensure that all young people can benefit from engagement in sport and physical activity</p><p> </p><p>Sport England will be investing in team sports through its new programmes designed to support the people who regularly play sport, and programmes designed to tackle inactivity.</p><p> </p><p>Community sports teams will also be able to benefit from Sport England’s new Community Asset Fund, which will make £7.5 million of National Lottery funding available to support community clubs to modernise or expand their facilities.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>In December 2015, government published its new strategy, 'Sporting Future: A New Strategy for an Active Nation.'</p><p> </p><p>This strategy sets out government's ambition to get more people engaged in sport and physical activity, particularly those who are currently least active, including those in lower socio-economic groups, some BME groups, older people, women and those with a disability.</p><p> </p><p>In May 2016, Sport England published its new strategy, 'Towards an Active Nation', which sets out how funding will be invested in grassroots sports to get more people active.</p> more like this
