That equates to £8,176,302m in 2010/11; £5,550,910m in 2011/12; £5,042,685 in 2012/13; £10,287,050m in 2013/14; £9,175,259m in 2014/15 and £9,345,964m over this last year.</del></p><p> </p><p><ins class="ministerial">Since 2010, the Government has invested, via Sport England £56,031,671 million of National Lottery and Exchequer funding to the FA to help grow and sustain grassroots football participation in this country. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 01/11/2016 answer text <p>Sport England’s latest Active People Survey (APS) figures published in June this year show there has been an increase of 32,900 people from lower socio-economic groups regularly taking part in sport in the last year. However, we want to continue to do more to remove any barrier that prevents under-represented groups from taking part in sport and wider physical activity.</p><p> </p><p>Over the last year the government’s strategy for sport and physical activity ‘Sporting Future: A New Strategy for An Active Nation’ has been published as well as Sport England’s strategy ‘Towards an Active Nation’. Both strategies highlight the importance when meeting their aims of focusing on those groups that are less likely to take part in sport and physical activity including those from lower socio-economic groups. Sport England will invest 25% of its funding over the next four years, over £250 million, to combat inactivity. Our sport strategy, 'Sporting Future: A New Strategy for an Active Nation', places a much greater emphasis than before on encouraging under-represented groups, including disabled people, to take part in sport and physical activity.</p><p> </p><p>Sport England's new strategy,Towards an Active Nation, which was published in May, sets out how it intends to deliver against the government’s sport strategy. The Government's Sporting Future strategy widened Sport England's remit to include responsibility for children's participation in sport from the ages of 5 years and up outside of school. Sport England has committed £40m of new funding into projects that provide opportunities for children and families to get active and play sport together.</p><p> </p><p>To support sport in schools, the Government has committed to doubling the Primary Premium from £160m per year to £320m per year.
