The Commission assesses concerns in accordance with its published regulatory and risk framework, and has a wide range of powers to investigate and remedy the abuse of charities. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 21/10/2024 answer text <p>The television sector forms a critical part of the fabric of the creative industries and UK society, which is why it is important that programmes are made across the country.</p><p>The public service remit for television requires that public service broadcasters (PSBs), taken together, make an appropriate range and amount of their programmes outside the M25. It is a matter for Ofcom, the independent media regulator, to consider whether the public service remit for television has been fulfilled.</p><p>To help ensure this, Ofcom has powers to include quotas in individual PSB licences, requiring them to make a minimum proportion of their programmes, and spend a minimum proportion of their commissioning budgets, outside London. Any changes to these quotas is similarly a matter for Ofcom.</p><p>The Secretary of State has made clear that she wants broadcasters to be more ambitious in commissioning programmes from every part of the UK. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 21/10/2024 answer text <p>The Government provides the majority of funding for grassroots sport through our Arm’s Length Body, Sport England - which annually invests over £250 million in Exchequer and Lottery funding in areas of greatest need to tackle inactivity levels through community-led solutions.</p><p>Between 2022 and 2024, Sport England and delivery partners in other parts of the UK, invested £161 million into grassroots football facilities, providing new and upgraded pitches and facilities.</p><p>In 2024/25, the Government and our partners are investing £123 million UK-wide. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 19/09/2024 answer text <p>The Secretary of State for Northern Ireland and the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport wrote to Gordon Lyons MLA, the Northern Ireland Minister for Communities, on Friday 13 September to update him on the funding of Casement Park for EURO 2028. We know how important access to facilities is as part of the legacy of our sporting heroes, so people can try the sports they see on screen. The Government has committed to continue to support grassroots facilities across the UK.</p><p>As part of the Park Tennis Court Programme, the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and the Lawn Tennis Association are investing over £30 million between 2022-2024 to deliver improvements to over 3,000 park tennis courts across Great Britain.
