<p>Veterans offer a vast range of skills and talent to civilian employers and the
Government recognises that having a job is one of the key foundations for those leaving
the Armed Forces to transition into civilian life. This is why the Government has
made it easier for veterans to join the Civil Service and introduced a National Insurance
tax break for their employers.</p><p>Veterans, including those with disabilities,
requiring specialist employment support to find work can benefit from early voluntary
entry to the Department for Work and Pensions’ Work and Health Programme and in due
course we look forward to the publication of the National Disability Strategy which
will set out further support for people, including veterans, with disabilities, building
on the existing protections and opportunities they enjoy today.</p><p> </p>
