To work effectively and securely, it would require all polling stations in a constituency to be electronically linked and the register updated in real time to prevent anyone registering and voting in one<br />polling station and moving quickly to another to do the same. This would present considerable technical challenges and carry significant cost.</p><p><ins class="ministerial">Such a change would introduce uncertainties as to the register to be used for the election and undermine confidence in the process if candidates were unable to challenge any unusual trends in registration prior to Polling Day.</ins></p><p>Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) are legally responsible for determining who is eligible to vote in polls in their local areas. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 03/10/2019 answer text <p>Our highest priority is for patients to continue to have access to medicines and medical products.</p><p>DHSC has contacted 448 suppliers of medicines with an EU touchpoint in their supply chain and more than 1300 suppliers of medical devices and clinical consumables in order to understand their supply chains and their proposed contingency measures.</p><p>DHSC is implementing a multi-layered approach to minimise any supply disruption in a ‘no deal’ exit scenario. The Treasury has provided an additional £2.1bn for ‘no deal’ preparations this year, which doubled the amount of Brexit funding available for 2019-20. The Treasury has now made available £6.3 billion to prepare for Brexit, including £4.2 billion funding this financial year alone. £2 billion of further funding in 2020-21 will help the UK to establish a new relationship with the EU, and capitalise on the opportunities created by Brexit.</p><p>We continue to engage with business at all levels to ensure industry is prepared for all scenarios. This means businesses and citizens can continue to book and fly with confidence. Travellers, including those in Ilford North, planning to travel to the EU should ensure they have complied with all travel advice and have the necessary documentation and insurances, such as International Driving Permits (IDPs) and Green Cards, which will be needed by private motorists.</p><p>After Brexit the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) card may not be valid. Holiday-makers should get appropriate travel insurance with healthcare cover before going abroad.
