star this property answer text <p>FOXHOUND is a Cabinet Office-led, cross-government IT programme to develop and deploy a new secure capability for managing sensitive information, including that which is classified up to and at SECRET. The aim is to bear down on the growing information and cyber risk, whilst improving scope for collaboration across the National Security community. star this property answer text <p>Each government department or organisation connected to the PSN is responsible for procuring its own connectivity services separately from a group of approved providers. Since almost 700 public sector organisations across central government, local government and other public agencies and bodies use the PSN, it is not possible for Cabinet Office to report on the total cost to the public purse.</p><p>The National Audit Office 2016 “Protecting information across government” report reported that the project saved £406 million across government over the 4 years between 2011/12 and 2014/15.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>It is not possible to send spoof emails from a @GOV.UK domain address, so none have been sent from an address using the @GOV.UK domain since June 2016. This is due to the technical controls in place that prevent the forging of a GOV.UK email address (Sender Policy Framework and Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting and Conformance).</p><p> </p><p>The responsibility for monitoring of fake emails using the GOV.UK suffix is not conducted centrally. Cabinet Office guidance sets out that users receiving fraudulent emails should notify Action Fraud, or in the case of HMRC emails, HMRC's phishing team.</p><p> </p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Following consultation with the Government Property Agency who now manage the Cabinet Office estate, I can confirm that none of the locations referred to in the above question are owned or managed by Cabinet Office.</p><p> </p><p>The civil service is going through a fundamental transformation in the way that we work and deliver services, not least through advances in technology. The future civil service will be more efficient, more highly skilled and agile.</p><p> </p><p>We are working with departments to deliver our commitments within the Government Estates Strategy and to ensure that we make the best use of our Government Estate assets, including the office estates.
