star this property answer text <p>The seventh round of negotiations for the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) took place between 29 September and 3 October in Chevy Chase, Maryland. As expected, negotiations were largely focused on regulatory issues. Discussions also covered energy, intellectual property, small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) and services.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>There was good technical progress, particularly on regulatory coherence, for example in the automotive and pharmaceutical sectors. star this property answer text <p>United Kingdom Trade and Investment (UKTI) works with the video games sector, to support exports and attract inward investment. A new international strategy for the Creative Industries has been co-produced with the sector, and there is a joint commitment to its implementation. For example UKTI and the UKIE worked together to deliver the Digital Gaming event at the International Festival of Business in Liverpool in July this year.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>UKTI supports sectorally-focused groups, including those from the games sector, through both the Trade Access Programme (TAP) and through the Events and Missions Programme. The amount allocated specifically to the video games sector under these two programmes are shown in the table below together with a figure which gives the value as a percentage of programme expenditure as a whole (across all sectors). star this property answer text <p>The Life Sciences Organisation (LSO), sitting within UK Trade and Investment (UKTI), is responsible for promoting the UK as an investment destination for life sciences, as well as supporting UK companies to increase exports to other markets. The team comprises a mixture of industry specialists and experienced civil servants, who together provide a range of support to potential investors and exporters.</p><p> </p><p>The LSO has developed a suite of marketing materials that showcase the UK’s life sciences capabilities across a number of priority sub-sectors, including but not limited to pharmaceutical manufacturing, regenerative medicine and experimental medicine &amp; clinical trials. Within each theme the LSO promotes the UK through direct, in-market company visits and/or tailored events and activities around the world, and works with international companies that would be well placed to take advantage of the UK offer. In 2013/14, the Life Sciences Organisation delivered 136 FDI projects creating or safeguarding more than 3,500 jobs.</p><p> </p>

Due to routine updating of the commodity codes by Eurostat, wood pellets were coded as ‘44013020 - Sawdust and wood waste and scrap, agglomerated in pellets’ in 2011 but then classified to the new code ‘44013100 – wood pellets’ in 2012 and 2013. For this analysis we have combined these two headings to provide a consistent series.
