star this property answer text <p>Quindell plc is Alternative Investment Market (AIM) listed which is controlled by London Stock Exchange and any enquiry relating to possible market abuse sits within the remit of the Financial Conduct Authority.</p><p> </p><p>The Government’s Insolvency Service has discretionary powers under the Companies Acts to conduct enquiries on behalf of the Secretary of State where it appears that there has been misconduct in relation to the affairs of any company, including those not subject to formal insolvency.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>For the investigation process to be effective it is essential to maintain confidentiality at all stages and there is also a need to protect the commercial interest of companies against the danger of damage from malicious complaints. For these reasons there are legal restrictions on disclosing information obtained during an enquiry and The Service does not confirm or deny whether an investigation of a particular company is taking place.</p><p> </p><p>Where other regulators and investigating agencies are involved, the Insolvency Service would liaise closely to ensure public money is not wasted duplicating resources.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>

star this property answer text <p>According to HMRC, UK import figures for ‘artificial sweeteners’ are contained within HMRC Overseas Trade Statistics database code HS 21069092 (‘food preparations’, see full definition below). This captures a range of food preparations; it is not possible to split the data to show the amount (value or volume) of UK imports of artificial sweeteners in 2013 separately. We have been offering our employees the opportunity to work flexibly since April 2012.</p><p>Decisions on how this operates for an individual employee, and consideration of statutory applications to request flexible working, are managed by line managers at a local level.</p><p>We do not hold central records on this and there would therefore be a disproportionate cost incurred in collecting this information from our line managers.</p><p> </p> more like this

Of those emigrating 131,000 were UK citizens, accounting for 41% of the total numbers, and of this number 57% emigrated for work related reasons, (although there is no clarification whether the work was highly skilled or not).</p><p><strong> </strong></p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Small businesses are vital to our economy and our small business owners have driven this economic recovery. The Clacton constituency has benefitted from a number of support schemes. The Business Bank’s Start-Up Loan programme has already provided 26 loans, with a value of £99,230 to people starting a business in Clacton. And since May 2010, the Enterprise Finance Guarantee Scheme has supported 14 loans in the area with a total value of £1.8m.</p><p> </p><p><strong> </strong></p><p> </p><p>We are committed to making Britain the best place in the world to start and grow a business, and are doing this in a number of ways:</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><ul><li>A more stable economic environment.</li><li>£10 billion of financing will be unlocked for smaller business over the next 5 years by our British Business Bank;</li><li>Government grants of up to £3,000 for better internet connectivity are available to small businesses;</li><li>The Business Support Helpline is available to provide bespoke information and advice;</li><li>Cuts to corporation tax from 28% to 21%; and</li><li>£2,000 cut from the National Insurance bills of small firms from the new Employment Allowance.</li></ul><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p><strong> </strong></p><p> </p>
