star this property answer text <p>There a number of departments across Whitehall who work on aspects of the Digital Single Market (DSM) including the Department for Culture Media and Sport, the Home Office and HM Treasury. And, within the Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS) there are a number of policy areas that are involved directly or indirectly in aspects of the Digital Single Market including the Intellectual Property Office, Competition and Consumer Policy and Advanced Manufacturing and Services.</p><p> </p><p>BIS leads on behalf of Government and coordinates activity across those departments with an interest. There is a core team of five FTEs who act as the hub for all of this work.</p><p> </p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>As at the end of February 2015, 333 organisations had achieved Cyber Essentials accreditation and 72 had achieved Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation – a total of 405.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills does not currently hold information on how many insurance companies reference Cyber Essentials accreditation. However, Cyber insurance is a rapidly developing area with government and the insurance sector publishing a joint report on tackling cyber risks on 23 March 2015. It was announced in October 2014 by the Deputy Prime Minister to bring together digital technology expertise across Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, Liverpool, Hull and the North East tech cluster (Newcastle, Sunderland and the Tees Valley). It will form part of Tech City UK.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Since TechNorth’s announcement, Tech City UK has been engaging with the North's diverse technology sector to shape the scope of the initiatives TechNorth will offer.
