This includes the development of a simple guide on how to discuss race in the workplace, ensuring easy access to an online portal of best practice and celebrating success through a list of the top 100 BME employers.</p><p> </p><p>We also intend that the new Diversity and Inclusion Group will provide a forum to discuss progress as well as identify emerging issues and opportunities, and provide a sounding board for new ideas. This will be chaired by a BEIS Minister, and bring together key business leaders. Part of our approach is to use “sector deals” to transform and upgrade sectors based on proposals from industry. This includes £4m of Start-Up Loans to support 644 small businesses</p><p> </p><p>Alongside designing and delivering programmes through its partners, the British Business Bank works to promote the provision of better information in the market to increase smaller businesses’ understanding of the finance options available to them. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 04/07/2017 answer text <p>My officials have remained in close contact with the Mayor’s Office and Southwark Council to ensure that public agencies are pulling together to respond to the recent terrible events at Borough Market and London Bridge.</p><p>I welcome the Mayor’s announcement on Thursday, 29 June of a new £300,000 fund to help businesses to recover from these attacks, as well as the attack at Finsbury Park Mosque and the Grenfell Tower fire. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 06/07/2017 answer text <p>The central aim of the regulatory framework is to ensure wells are made safe so that they can be decommissioned with no need for on-going attention.</p><p> </p><p>Each shale gas licensee (and there may be more than one for each licence) is responsible for the well. When operations finish, the licensees are responsible for safe decommissioning of the well(s) and for restoring the well-site to its previous state or a suitable condition for re-use.</p><p> </p><p>The operator is required to design and construct an oil and gas well with a view to its safe decommissioning. The operator is also required to provide a notification to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) prior to decommissioning and abandonment of the well. The notification and subsequent weekly operations reports, submitted by the operator, allow HSE inspectors to scrutinise the activity to ensure that the well is being decommissioned and abandoned as required by the Offshore Installations and Wells (Design and Construction, etc.) Regulations 1996. During this period the Government will continue to negotiate, implement and apply EU legislation.</p><p>There are 10 Directives that are the responsibility of the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy which are awaiting transposition into UK law as of 29<sup>th</sup> June.</p><p>Government policy, based on legal assessment, remains to ensure full compliance with EU legal requirements until the UK leaves the EU.
