	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 04/12/2018 answer text <p>No Scottish Limited Partnerships (SLPs) have been fined since the People with Significant Control register came into force.</p><p> </p><p>I refer the hon. Member to the answer given to her on 2nd July 2018 to Question 157783. Compliance is Companies House’s primary aim, rather than prosecution. It is taking action to ensure that all SLPs report their PSC information. Companies House is actively engaged with SLPs and their representatives to make them aware of their responsibilities, and in addition, it has issued reminder letters to all SLPs who have failed to file PSC information. Failure to comply with the requirement to report PSC information does not incur a civil penalty but it is an offence and may lead to a fine or imprisonment upon prosecution. Companies House is not a prosecuting body and will refer cases to a relevant prosecutor when all other avenues have been exhausted and an SLP has not complied with their obligations.</p><p>In April the Government consulted on a package of reforms which would limit the misuse of limited partnerships, including in their Scottish form. I refer the Hon Member to the Department’s previous answer of 2 July 2018 to Question UIN <a href="https://www.parliament.uk/business/publications/written-questions-answers-statements/written-question/Commons/2018-06-26/157784/" target="_blank">157784</a>. All registered SLPs are eligible under the terms of the Scottish Partnerships (Register of People with Significant Control) Regulations 2017.</p><p> </p><p>The above regulations also require a Scottish qualifying partnership (SQP) to register with Companies House and deliver information concerning its People with Significant Control (PSC). An SQP is a general partnership constituted under the law of Scotland that is a qualifying partnership under the Partnership (Accounts) Regulations 2008. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/12/2018 answer text <p>The Accounts and Reports (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2018 (the “Regulations”) transfer functions and legislation from the EU to the UK to ensure that the UK legislative framework remains coherent. It does not aim to create new policy.</p><p> </p><p>The Commission has the power to grant equivalence to third countries for their system of reporting payments to governments regarding the logging and mining activities of undertakings. There is no Parliamentary process built into the Commission’s decision. However there are specific criteria that the Commission must consider when exercising those powers.</p><p> </p><p>These Regulations transfer the power to the Secretary of State, to be exercised using the same criteria. We have recruited 700 new staff to work on EU Exit Policy.</p><p> </p><p>We are in the process of delivering a huge secondary legislation programme to ensure a functioning statute book on exit day. As of today, BEIS has laid 62 exit related statutory instruments, including new laws for a nuclear safeguards regime that will maintain the UK industry’s ability to trade in the nuclear sector while ensuring the UK remains on track to meet its international obligations on day one of exit, and plan to lay the remaining instruments by the end of this month.</p><p> </p><p>We have also published 28 technical notices, including on oil and gas, climate change, company law and state aid. These will continue to be updated.</p><p> </p><p>BEIS also continues to work closely with the rest of government on EU Exit issues, to ensure a cohesive approach is taken to support businesses. BEIS has contributed to cross-government information programmes, such as helping to develop the EU Exit business Q&amp;A tool, which was been used over 20,000 times.</p><p> </p><p>BEIS continues to meet with key stakeholders across all sectors to inform our approach and will continue to use their expertise. My Rt Hon Friend, the Chancellor of the Exchequer announced at Autumn Budget 2018 that the Government was freezing beer duties for the second consecutive year as beer makes up close to 50% of pub sales.
