I will correspond directly with my noble Friend.</del></p><p><ins class="ministerial">After exit day, the Government is setting up a new UK regulatory regime. We recognise the valuable contribution UK Notified Bodies make to the economy, which is why notified bodies operating under the new regulatory regime will automatically become UK approved bodies. UK approved bodies will only be able to provide conformity assessment for the UK market and for countries with which we have signed a relevant mutual recognition agreement. We meet regularly with the sector to discuss the impact of Brexit and how they can prepare.</ins></p><p><ins class="ministerial">To help ensure the flow of goods into the UK, CE marked goods can be placed on the UK market for a time-limited period after exit day if we leave the EU without a withdrawal agreement. The results of conformity assessment carried out by EU notified bodies will be valid in the UK during this time-limited period. This will help UK manufacturers who sell to both the EU and UK markets.</ins></p><p> </p>

Any authorised representatives appointed and mandated after Exit must be established in the UK.</ins></p><p><ins class="ministerial">An importer will be the person established in the UK who places a product from outside of the UK on the UK market.</ins></p><p> </p> more like this

unstar this property answer text <p>On 2 October my Rt Hon Friend the Secretary of State announced the appointment of Paul Uppal as the UK’s first Small Business Commissioner (SBC). Mr Uppal and his team will provide general advice and information to small businesses on matters such as resolving payment disputes, including signposting small businesses through the SBC’s website to existing support and dispute resolution services.</p><p> </p><p>The SBC complaints scheme is dependent on secondary legislation, which is currently being considered by Parliament. Small businesses will be able to submit complaints once the service fully launches, including complaints relating to issues from <del class="ministerial">1</del> <ins class="ministerial">6</ins> April 2017. The office of the SBC will be operational by the end of 2017, subject to the will of Parliament.</p> more like this

unstar this property answer text <p>Fact sheets for the preparers levy were used from 2009/10 when the preparers levy was extended to cover large private companies and public sector organisations. The fact sheets used the word “required” in explaining the rates applied to different categories of preparers. They also included similar wording to that included in the 2018/19 fact sheet which was <del class="ministerial">placed in the Library of the House in</del> <ins class="ministerial">attached to the</ins> response <ins class="ministerial">given</ins> to question HL5095. This makes clear that the Financial Reporting Council collects the levy from all preparers on a voluntary basis. The word “required” was replaced with the word “requested” to improve clarity in 2018/19.</p> more like this

There are no other financial terms involved.</p><p> </p><p>We will work together with the Financial Reporting Council to appoint their new Chief Executive following the conclusion of the independent review of the Financial Reporting Council.</p> more like this
