We are working with the Campaign to End Loneliness and a group of leading employers to develop case studies and good practice guidance to tackle loneliness and build social connections within the workforce. Acas has also published guidance for employers on how to promote wellbeing at work.</p><p> </p>

	answer	answer answer text <p>This Government is committed to building an economy that works for everyone, and the National Living Wage is part of our wider commitment to ensuring this, both in terms of fair pay and fair working conditions.</p><p> </p><p>We do not hold these particular statistics. Analysis from the Low Pay Commission (published in March 2018) shows that around 2.1 million workers are on the National Living Wage (NLW) and National Minimum Wage (NMW) rates, in England, which equates to 8.9% of all workers. In Coventry around 11,400 workers are on the minimum wage (equivalent to around 8.1% of all workers), and across the West Midlands 266,000 workers are on the minimum wage (equivalent to 11.5% of all workers in the region).</p>

	answer	answer answer text <p>Providing customers with convenient access to Post Office services is of vital importance. Over the last few years, as part of the Post Office’s programme to modernise their branch network, the Post Office have increased opening hours at almost 6,000 branches, offering in excess of 200,000 additional opening hours overall. Nearly 4,000 branches are now open on Sundays.</p><p> </p><p>When the Post Office franchises a branch to a new partner, they always ensure that the opening hours are at least equal to those in the existing branch. This agreement on hours is formalised in the Post Office’s contract with the partner. However, in the vast majority of cases, opening hours are extended on Saturday afternoons and often branches will open earlier on weekdays and on Sundays. The Post Office’s recent announcement to franchise branches to WHSmith (subject to public consultation) will see opening hours extended on Saturday afternoons and on Sundays.</p>

	answer	answer answer text <p>The Government is investing over £1bn in a programme of modernisation and reform of the courts and tribunals. These reforms will be implemented over a number of years, with reform of the Employment Tribunals scheduled for the latter part of the reform programme.</p><p> </p><p>We responded to the Taylor review of modern working practices in February 2018, committing to firm action and future legislation. We launched four consultations on the detail, including proposals that would improve clarity for recently recruited employees and a consultation on the enforcement of labour market rights. We are currently considering the responses and will respond in due course.</p><p> </p><p>Qualifying periods apply to certain employment rights so as to strike the right balance between fairness for employees and flexibility for employers, and so that employers are not discouraged from taking on new staff.</p>

	answer	answer answer text <p>The Government recognises the hard work of the Munitions workers and is extremely grateful for their input and sacrifices made during both world wars often working in harsh conditions, to ensure that our soldiers were well equipped during the war effort.</p><p> </p><p>There are no plans to introduce a medal for munitions workers who served during the world wars. A commemorative badge is available thanks to the support of the BAE Systems Heritage Department and the efforts of the Munitions Workers Association. This is similar to those badges given to those who worked in the mines during the second world war – the so-called Bevan Boys. Surviving munitions workers and their families can approach the Munitions Workers Association to receive this commemorative badge.</p>

	answer	answer answer text <p>The Government promotes the safe and responsible use of fireworks by consumers and there is strict legislation in place which regulates their supply and use. The Government is currently working with a range of stakeholders to raise consumer awareness on firework safety.</p><p> </p><p>Under current UK legislation, there are clear requirements on manufacturers to categorise and label fireworks according to their explosive content, safety distances, noise level, or similar. The label must include instructions on safety distances and means of ignition and safety messages.</p><p> </p><p>The Government has no plans to amend legislation on firework packaging.</p>

	answer	answer answer text <p>The Government promotes the safe and responsible use of fireworks by consumers and there is strict legislation in place which regulates their supply and use.</p><p> </p><p>There are age restrictions in place which prevent the sale of fireworks to those under the age of 16 or 18 dependent on the classification of firework. The law also prohibits those under 18 possessing any category F2 or F3 fireworks in a public place subject to very limited exceptions.</p><p> </p><p>The Government is currently working with industry, retailers, charities and others such as the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents and Netmums to promote the safe and responsible use of fireworks and to raise consumer awareness on firework safety.</p>
