	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 17/11/2016 answer text <p>The Department’s activity to tackle climate change cuts across the work of various teams and is in many cases undertaken by officials who, as well as energy and climate change, also work to deliver the department’s other priorities.</p><p>Consequently, it is not possible to calculate the exact number of officials who work on energy and climate change issues. Information regarding the proportion of positions vacant for a week or longer is not held centrally as each business area manages its vacancies. Direct comparisons of the GMPP across years should therefore be treated with caution. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 11/03/2019 answer text <p>HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) are responsible for enforcing the National Minimum Wage Regulations on behalf of the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS).</p><p> </p><p>We have almost doubled the enforcement budget for the National Minimum Wage and National Living Wage to a record high of £26.3 million for 2018/19, up from £13.2 million in 2015/16. There are over 420 HMRC staff involved in the enforcement of the National Minimum Wage Act 1998.</p><p> </p><p>BEIS has robust plans in place to manage delivery of EU exit.
