answer text <p>This Government is committed to building an economy that works for all and is why my Rt Hon Friend the Prime Minister asked Matthew Taylor to conduct an independent review to consider how employment rules might need to respond to changes in the way people work. This includes the implications of the growth in self-employment and the emergence of new business models such as on–demand platforms.</p><p> </p><p>If anyone has concerns around their employment rights or thinks they have not been paid the National Minimum/Living Wage (NM/LW) they should call the ACAS Helpline on 0300 123 1100 or visit their website for confidential advice. Calls made to ACAS about NMW/LW are passed to HMRC, who consider every complaint whether received through an individual or a third party.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Government has not made an estimate of the proportion of electricity imports on interconnectors that will have been generated by gas-fired generation.</p><p>Electricity interconnection connects Great Britain’s energy market to the markets of neighbouring countries, enabling electricity to be traded. It is not possible to trace the precise source of the electricity transported through interconnectors; the electricity that we import will have been produced by the mix of generation technologies connected to the exporting country’s transmission network. The precise generation mix that provides the imported electricity at any point in time will depend on a complex set of factors and, in particular, will vary depending on the characteristics of the exporting market.</p> more like this

answer text <p>There are no unpaid internships in BEIS. BEIS participates in the Civil Service wide Summer Diversity Internship Programme, which is a two month placement and is paid. The Civil Service also runs the Early Diversity Internship Programme which is for a week only (and more akin to work experience) – it provides expenses to encourage applications and ensure there is no financial loss.</p> more like this
