To ask Her Majesty's Government what restrictions are imposed by regulation on the eligibility of overseas nationals, whether or not they are citizens of EU member states, (1) to start businesses in the UK, and (2) to serve as directors of such companies.

<p>There are no regulatory restrictions on overseas nationals registering a company in the UK or serving as directors on UK registered companies. However, all UK registered companies must have a registered office that is based in the UK and directors of UK registered companies must be at least 16 years old and not disqualified or bankrupt.</p>
