<p>The number of a) homeless families living in temporary accommodation in April-June 2018 was 61,480 of which 55,480 were in self-contained accommodation. Information is not collected on b) short term lets. Figures showing trends back to 2002 are shown in the Temporary accommodation tables available here: <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/statistical-data-sets/live-tables-on-homelessness" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/statistical-data-sets/live-tables-on-homelessness</a>.</p>
