It is for this reason that we are working with industry to develop and trial reservation agreements. These legal agreements would be entered into by both parties at the point of offer and there could be financial penalties if a party withdrew without good reason. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 09/07/2021 answer text <p>The Midlands Voluntary Right to Buy Pilot was subject to a full independent evaluation, the findings of which were published in February 2020. The pilot's evaluation confirmed the scheme fulfilled its goal of testing the 'portable discount', presented good value for money, and successfully enabled over 1,800 people to own their own homes. The evaluation also highlighted some of the challenges in the pilot's administration. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 13/07/2021 answer text <p>Levels of homelessness in England can be best estimated by looking at the number of households in temporary accommodation at the end of each year.</p><p>There is no data before 1998. The number of households in temporary accommodation in Q4 1998 was 53,790. In Q4 2000 it was 73,080, in Q4 2010 it was 48,010 and Q4 2020 is provisionally 95,370.</p><p>We are putting in place an unprecedented level of support to tackle homelessness and rough sleeping over 2021/22, over £750 million. This is a permissive system that gives local authorities wide freedoms for borrowing and investment, and it is for authorities to manage their capital strategies and ensure their borrowing is prudent, affordable and sustainable. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 14/07/2021 answer text <p>The Government is committed to increasing the use of Modern Methods of Construction (MMC), including modular housing. MMC has the potential to improve the quality of new homes, deliver more energy efficient homes, reduce construction waste, improve productivity and address the shortage in construction skills.</p><p>At Budget 2021, we announced the creation of the MMC Taskforce, backed by £10 million of funding, to accelerate the delivery of MMC homes in England. The taskforce will consist of experts from across government and industry to fast-track the adoption of modern methods of construction. Once constituted, the taskforce will work closely with local authorities and mayoral combined authorities.</p><p>In addition, the Local Authority Acceleration Construction programme provides investment to unlock up to 32,000 additional homes on surplus public sector land more quickly using MMC.</p><p>The £535 million Small Sites Fund unlocks land for homes on small and stalled housing sites, with MMC requirements within Homes England grant agreements with local authorities for the Fund.</p> answering member printed Lord Greenhalgh question first answered 14/07/2021 15:00:46 answering member 4877 label Biography information for Lord Greenhalgh
