The statutory guidance is clear that at the secondary level, RSE includes teaching about sexually transmitted infections, including HIV/AIDs. Teaching should also include HIV prevention and the importance of testing, as well as how and where to access advice and treatment.</p><p> </p><p>Schools are free to decide which resources to use and the Department entrusts headteachers with responsibility for making those decisions. The guidance is clear that schools should draw on medically accurate information and set this in the broader context of the subjects.</p><p> </p><p>The Department is committed to supporting schools to teach the new subjects to a high standard. The Department will continue to work with subject experts to ensure that schools are supported in improving their practice, focusing on an implementation guide, support for training needs and materials.</p><p> </p><p>The Department has announced a budget of £6 million in the 2019-20 financial year to develop this programme of support for schools. Friend, the Secretary of State for Education, is under a duty to make an academy order for all maintained schools that have been judged Inadequate by Ofsted, requiring them to become an academy and receive additional support from a sponsor. We have a responsibility to ensure all pupils are getting a great education, and we will be unapologetic in acting where pupils’ education is suffering. This school was properly issued an Academy Order on 24 September 2018 following an Inadequate judgement published on 18 September 2018.</p><p>The Regional Schools Commissioner for the East of England and North East London has had discussions with the London Borough of Redbridge about the proposed academisation of this school.</p><p>Ofsted revisited William Torbitt Primary School on 9 January 2019. To help give certainty, in July 2018, the department announced guarantees on student finance for EU nationals.</p><p>These guarantees are not altered if the UK leaves the EU without a deal. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 11/01/2019 answer text <p>In March 2017, the Government announced that it was investing £215 million in the Special Provision Capital Fund and published how much each local authority will receive across a 3-year period. In May 2018, the Department announced a further £50 million top-up to this fund and then in December 2018, announced an additional £100 million. This takes the total investment to £365 million.</p><p>Redbridge has so far been allocated £3.6 million[1] between 2018 and 2021 and will see a further increase to their allocation in due course, once allocations from the additional £100 million top-up are announced. Published information on this fund and the allocations can be found on GOV.UK.</p><p>As the Government originally announced the investment in the Special Provision Capital Fund in March 2017, information on the fund prior to this date does not exist. Local authorities in England have been allocated an average of £478,000[2] for 2018-19, £811,000[3] for 2019-20 and £478,000[4] for 2020-21. The 2019-20 allocation includes the £50 million top-up funding announced in May 2018; the further £100 million top-up funding will also be applied as an uplift to the 2019-20 amount, once allocations are announced.
