Its guidance to Electoral Registration Officers also highlights ways in which local public engagement plans can increase registration in the UK through targeted local activities.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Overseas Registration Day was a new initiative this year as part of its expatriate registration campaign. Bite the Ballot also established a similar initiative in the UK this year that the Commission supported.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Given this, the Commission would not look to establish its own separate voter registration day in the UK, as this may be confusing for voters.
