The employment rate in Wales is up 3.4 percentage points over the last year, over twice as high as the increase in any other part of the UK, with an extra 78,000 people in work. Unemployment also continues to fall. However, the Government is continuing with our no deal preparations to ensure the country is prepared for every eventuality. The re-routing of supply lines is therefore unlikely. The UK Government has informally consulted with businesses and business representatives during the development of this policy.
