answer text <p>The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency already recommends that drivers who need to submit a medical report with a licence application or renewal should obtain this from a doctor with access to their medical records. However, this is not compulsory and to make it a requirement may have impacts on drivers and the transport industry in terms of time and costs. When conducting medical investigations, the DVLA will write to the driver’s GP or consultant if further medical information is required. There are no plans to change the existing arrangements.</p> more like this
