Compared to before the invasion, UK goods imports from Russia have fallen by 99.1%, and goods exports to Russia have fallen by 80%. It does not waive patents. The WTO General Council in December agreed to extend the deadline to determine whether to include therapeutics and diagnostics in this Decision, but no timeline was set.</p><p> </p><p>HM Government recognises that COVID-19 remains a serious challenge and that we need to promote equitable and effective distribution of COVID-19 products. It is likely that some Russian military equipment contains sub-components, some of which are dual-use and are not controlled, obtained from a range of countries, including the UK.</p><p> </p><p>The UK, in coordination with allies, has introduced several packages of hard-hitting sanctions that prohibit the supply of a wide range of goods and services, including components that could be utilised in Russian military equipment.
