<p>The UK plays an active role in upholding labour and environmental standards across
the world, both through our role as a member of the International Labour Organisation
and by actively promoting human rights and the UK wants to ensure economic growth,
development and environmental protection go hand in hand.</p><p>The Department for
International Trade has received representations from five organisations on the inclusion
of social and environmental criteria, in the remit of the Trade Remedies Authority.
This was in response to the White Paper “Preparing for a future UK trade policy” as
well as part of the Department’s ongoing stakeholder engagement, on a future UK trade
remedies regime.</p>
