This is made up of £400 of the Energy Bills Support Scheme and £200 of the Alternative Fuel Payment. In 2021/22, the Bank supported £166 million of funding to 2,699 businesses in Northern Ireland.</p><p> </p><p>At Autumn Budget and Spending Review 2021, my Rt. Hon. Its initial findings were that the UK retail fuel market appears to be competitive but areas for further investigation were identified. A market study to look at the growing gap between the oil price, and the wholesale price of petrol and diesel was launched which will make recommendations where there are no legitimate reasons for this. Cutting-edge businesses require access to growth capital and funding for high-risk, high-reward innovation activities available to businesses across all economic sectors, value chains and UK regions. Since 2004, Innovate UK has offered over £158 million in grants for R&amp;D to businesses in Northern Ireland.</p><p> </p><p>Spending Review 2021 secures increased funding for core Innovate UK programmes, reaching c.£1 billion per year by 2024/25 (over £300 million more than in 2021/22) to ensure it can support business in bringing innovations to market and drive economic growth. The money will be used to help boost private sector investment across the whole of the UK, creating the right conditions for all businesses to innovate and giving them the confidence to do so.</p><p> </p><p>Following the Spending Review, BEIS will set R&amp;D budgets through to 2024/25. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 27/10/2021 answer text <p>Through its Heat and Buildings Strategy the Government has set out a policy framework to support the development of the heat pump market towards 600,000 installations per year by 2028.</p><p> </p><p>The Government has announced grants of up to £6,000 for installing heat pumps in homes and small commercial properties, through the Boiler Upgrade Scheme. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 27/10/2021 answer text <p>Building on the £1.9bn from Spending Review 2020, the Government has committed an additional £620m to support the transition to electric vehicles. The additional funding will support the rollout of charging infrastructure, with a particular focus on local on street residential charging, and targeted plug-in vehicle grants.</p><p> </p><p>Government and industry have supported the installation of almost 26,000 publicly available charging devices. This includes more than 4,900 rapid devices – one of the largest networks in Europe.</p><p> </p><p>Later this year Government will publish an EV Infrastructure Strategy to set out the vision and action plan for charging infrastructure rollout needed to achieve the 2030/35 phase out successfully.
