Friend the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy has responsibility for intellectual property and regularly receives a wide range of representations about rights across the intellectual property spectrum.</p><p> </p><p>In the case of a trade mark application for a band name, the application would be examined in accordance with the Trade Mark Act 1994 and the Trade Mark Rules 2008. Any trade mark applications including the name of a famous individual or group would be considered in line with Section 3(6) of the Trade Marks Act 1994, which states that a trade mark shall not be registered if or to the extent that the application is made in bad faith. Anyone can oppose the registration of a trade mark once it has been published after examination through the Intellectual Property Office’s low-cost tribunal service. The government also provides a specialised Intellectual Property Enterprise Court to provide access to justice at an affordable cost for SMEs and entrepreneurs. This court has streamlined procedures, a limit on legal costs and a cap on damages. Work to develop proposals on the establishment of a single labour market enforcement body is underway and we will publish a consultation in due course.</p><p> </p><p>These proposals are being developed by a number of civil servants, including policy experts, analysts and lawyers in the Department and I will continue to ensure that this work is adequately resourced as the project progresses. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/06/2019 answer text <p>We want the UK to be the world’s most innovative economy and through the Industrial Strategy we have an ambition to raise total R&amp;D investment to 2.4% of GDP by 2027, and 3% in the longer term.</p><p>There is no single definition or list of government supported testing centres for innovation. However, the government supports innovation through a number of mechanisms including:</p><ul><li>Public Sector Research Establishments are research and development institutes. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/06/2019 answer text <p>UK expenditure on energy including imports was approximately £150bn (including taxes) or £113bn (excluding taxes, duties and levies) in 2017[1]. As a direct share, this is 5-7% of GDP depending on the inclusion of taxes, duties and levies. The Government is working to continue to improve energy efficiency across the economy in order to deliver affordable, clean and secure energy – the amount of energy used per unit of GDP has already fallen by 49% since 1990, and we are independently assessed as leading the G20 in cutting emissions while growing the economy since 2000. Our ambitious plans and policies to mitigate against the threat of climate change are set out in the Clean Growth Strategy.</p><p> </p><p>The Government publishes projections of the future volume of energy use based on current and planned policies under a range of sensitivities from now to 2035.
