answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/12/2017 answer text <p>Antifreeze supplied for domestic use is regulated under the General Product Safety Regulations 2005. This requires it to be safe in normal or reasonably foreseeable use when placed on the market. In addition, chemical products including antifreeze are also regulated by European Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 on the classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures. This will set out our proposals for decarbonising the UK economy through the 2020s.</p><p>We have already made good progress on food waste collection, with 52% of local authorities in England providing food waste collections in 2015/16, either separate or mixed with garden waste. This is an increase from 27% in 2009. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/07/2017 answer text <p>The UK was the first state to publish a National Action Plan to implement the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. This Plan brings together a range of measures – national and international, mandatory and voluntary – to foster business respect for human rights. These include the world leading provision in the Modern Slavery Act 2015, which requires large companies to say what they do to ensure modern slavery is not taking place in their business or through their supply chains, support for the Corporate Human Rights Benchmark, a business-led initiative to rank the world’s largest businesses on their approach to human rights and continuing encouragement to other countries to produce their own National Action Plans.</p><p>The Joint Committee on Human Rights’ recent inquiry on human rights and business which culminated in its report “Human Rights and Business 2017: Promoting responsibility and ensuring accountability” examined human rights and business in the UK including the implementation of the UK’s National Action Plan. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 26/04/2017 answer text <p>In the Autumn Statement 2016 the Government announced that we will make Britain the global go-to nation for scientists, innovators and tech investors, by investing an extra £2 billion a year in R&amp;D by 2020/21. This funding is in addition to the protection of the science resource budget in real terms from its 2015/16 level of £4.7 billion that was announced at the Spending Review in Autumn 2015, where the government also committed to invest in new scientific infrastructure on a record scale – £6.9 billion over the period 2015-2021.</p><p> </p><p>The South West has received €300 million of Horizon 2020 funding to date. The government has committed to underwrite all Horizon 2020 awards, even when specific projects continue beyond the UK’s departure from the EU. The decision to underwrite the grants of competitively bid for EU research funding will give British participants and their EU partners the assurance and certainty needed to plan ahead for projects that can run over many years.</p><p> </p><p>This Government intends to secure the best possible outcome for the UK research base as we exit the European Union. We would welcome an agreement to continue to collaborate with our European partners on major science, research, and technology initiatives. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 23/02/2017 answer text <p>The latest official fuel poverty statistics show that there are 2.2 million fuel poor households in England living in a home with an energy efficiency rating of Band D or lower.</p><p> </p><p>Government recently confirmed plans to reform the Energy Company Obligation, which is worth £640m per year and requires the large energy suppliers to improve household energy efficiency. In 2017-18, 70% of the support under the scheme will be directed at low income households.
